This accredited unit is the new updated version and provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
While there are no entry requirements for this course, a degree of physical ability is required to undertake the course.
Unique Student Identifier (USI) – You will need to provide your USI number at enrolment. If you do not have one, please visit www.usi.gov.au and follow the links to ‘Create a USI’. You will be required to provide identification evidence to obtain a USI.
Delivery is face-to-face. Participants complete online theory prior to the day of the practical workshop.
The practical component of the course is delivered over approximately 2 hours.

Upon successful completion of this accredited course, participants receive an HLTAID009 Provide CPR Statement of Attainment.
The CPR unit of competency is a stand-alone course but can count as an elective towards various qualifications. This depends on a qualification’s packaging rules.
